Our Single Bit Axe with Steel Handle is designed for when wood and fiberglass are not an option. Commonly used for chopping ice on livestock tanks and ponds. We use a forged 3-1/2 pound single bit axe head. It is MIG welded to a 1-1/4 inch outer diameter schedule 40 steel pipe. Black enamel coating will withstand years of outdoor exposure. Assembled in the USA.
